Samannay-2007
Main Venue: Pratibandhi Village Mukundapur Outdoor Venue: Jadavpur Stadium 3days (8th, 9th & 10th March) various sports activities & cultural programs.
There was an inauguration of new complex at Pratibandhi Village , Mukundapur by the Honorable Speaker of Lok Sabha Shri Somnath Chattopadhyay in the presence of Smt Meira Kumar, Union Minister of Social Justice & Empowerment, Shri Kanti Ganguly , General Secretary Pashchim Banga Rajya Pratibandhi Sammilani. Apart from that various eminent persons Shri Tapan Roy , Mass Education Mininster, Shri Addur Rezzak Molla, Shri Biswanath Choudhury, Shri Sujan Chakroborty, Shri Shubhash Chakroborty were present in this event. An Exclusive Interactive session (Ekanta Alapcharita) was organized with Honorable Chief Minister of West Bengal Shri Buddhadeb Bhattacharya with the physically disabled students those were present at this exclusive seminar at Pratibandhi Village , Mukundapur.
There was a various cultural event with eminent & well known musician & artist. There were musical vocal , dance & drama enactment performances various. In vocal music there were renound artists like Srimati Anuradha Paudwal, Srimati Lopamudra Mitra, Shrimati Shubhomita, Shri Nachiketa Chakroborty, Shri Monomoy, Shri Swapan Basu & many other students from PRPS & physically challenged artists.
Apart from that initiative & training program on Poultry farming & animal husbandry has been organized with collaboration with Aarambagh Hatcheries Ltd. & Paschim Banga Rajya Pratibandhi Sammilani . These kind of training will enable them to open their own small scale business & get financially support their families. Swanirbhar groups are formed to help the women with various kinds of handicraft training, sewing, doll & mask making& varied skills to enable them to start their own handicraft business.

International Day of People with Disability
December 3rd is being celebrated as International Day of People with Disability- (Biswa Pratibandhi Dibash -Rajya Samabesh). People across the states with physical Disability have taken part in various program & street rally . Honorable Chief Minister Shri Buddhadeb Bhattacharya were present to grace the occasion along with other eminent persons like Honorable Speaker of legislative assembly Shri Hasim Abdul Halim, Shri Bikash Ranjan Bhattacharya, Shri Biman Bose, Renowned painter Wasim Kapoor, P.K.Banerjee & many others

Cricket Match at Eden, 2009
Its an unique initiative was taken by West Bengal State of SportsCouncil in-collaboration with Special Olympics Paschimbanga Rajya Pratibandhi Sammilani , Supported by Cricket Association of Bengal that first time at Eden Gardens at Friendly Exhibition Cricket Match November4th,2009.
This FriendlyExhibition Cricket Match will be played by intellectually challenged players of Bangladesh & West Bengal.
Along with Sourav Ganguly, the spectators will include Sri. Somnath Cahtterjee, Former Speaker of Lok Sabha and luminaries from the field of entertainment, sports, culture and administration.This event has been organized not only to foster friendship and brotherhood between people and sportsmen of both Bengals, but to create an opportunity for mainstream population specially students to show solidarity with their less advantaged brothers and sisters and honour their ability.

As fellow citizens and recognizing their diversity, the disabled have every right to get all the opportunities that are available to the mainstream population. Today, all the more there is need for mainstreaming of all issues concerning the disabled.
A Mass Deputation was submitted to the Prime Minister from Disabled persons all across the country. Physically disabled persons all over India had joined a Rally that has being organized under the guidance of Kanti Ganguly (Minister of Youth Affairs, Sports and Sunderban Affairs, West Bengal) General Secretary, Paschim Banga Rajya Pratibandhi Sammilani putting forward their valid demands to be a part of the mainstream in the society.

Congress of Rehabilitation Professionals

4th Congress of Rehabilitation Professionals had been organised in Kolkata from 7th to 9th January, 2011 by Paschim Banga Rajya Pratibandhi Sammilani , in collaboration with Department of Mass Education W.B govt.
Paschim Banga Rajya Pratibandhi Sammilani (PRPS) which is an apex body of individuals with disability, various organizations working for disability related issues as well as family forums having its presence in different districts of West Bengal through awareness, identification, education and rehabilitation efforts.
Every alternate year they have organized a Congress of Rehabilitation Professionals where eminent speakers’ present papers on recent trends in the field of rehabilitation and professionals from all parts of India as well as different districts of West Bengal participate. The 2009 Rehabilitation Congress was accorded CRE status by Rehabilitation Council of India.
This year as well they have organised another Rehabilitation Congress with the core theme of “Economic Rehabilitation – Problems and Prospects”.
Many eminent personalities in this similar field have joined the program to grace the occasion. Professor Suranjan Das,( Vice Chancellor, Calcutta University) was the Chief Guest, Dr. J P Singh, Member Secretary of Rehabilitation Council of India, was the Guest of Honor at the inaugural session. Resource person Dr.Baishali Mukherjee, Dr. Sreelata Ghosh Chowdhury, of National Institute for the Orthopedically Handicapped, Dr. Uday Choudhury, Consultant Psychiatrist.
