REHABILITATION
What?
At PRPS, we try to rehabilitate people with disabilities by enabling them to reach and maintain their optimal physical, sensory, intellectual, psychological, and social functional levels.
How?
- PRPS provides disabled people with the tools they need to attain independence and self-determination. Such tools include Tricycles, Crutches, Artificial Limbs, Shoes, Battery Cars, Wheel Chairs, Blind Sticks, Hearing Aids and others.
- PRPS regularly organizes an annual Rehab Congress in association with Rehabilitation Council of India, the participants of which includes disabled members from district and state level bodies of PRPS and from its partner NGOs.
- Apart from the rehabilitation by aids and appliances, PRPS is also involved in rehabilitation by providing accommodation support and healthcare support for those in need.

REHABILITATIONBY AIDS AND APPLIANCES
Since inception, PRPS has supported over 20,000 persons with disabilities by distributing aids and appliances to
around 2000 persons each year.
REHABILITATION BY ACCOMMODATION
PRPS has established a poly-clinic with consultation and lab diagnostic services, that offers immediate healthcare services on a neighborhood concept. Some of the locally reputed physicians impart services from the clinic. While the generated funds are used for betterment of persons with disability, the clinic also offers free and subsidized services to persons with disability and economically weaker sections of the society.
REHABILITATION BY HEALTHCARE SUPPORT
Healthcare costs are a major reason instigating poverty. The situation is further worse for disabled, as living with disability in itself is expensive. Thus, healthcare for disabled has been always one of the priority areas of PRPS. PRPS has been financially assisting many persons with disability. PRPS dreams of having an health insurance scheme for all its members.
FINANCING
PRPS, touches the lives of lakhs of persons with disability every day . Most of the programs are financed by or through PRPS’s initiatives. Other than financing the above initiatives, PRPS also felt the need to finance individuals with disabilities achieving in different fields. Thus since 1992, PRPS has been sponsoring / offering economic assistance to thousands of persons with disability. Over 10,000 persons with disability has benefitted till date.
